Imagine Mallacoota

Presented by The Wilderness Workspace, #ImagineMallacoota is an initiative designed to inspire creativity from within Mallacoota. Nicolette was invited to connect with the community, presenting a weekend of stop motion animation and filmmaking workshops and wrapping up with a film festival. The weekend was presented in collaboration with filmmaker and UNSW tutor Jelena Sinik.

The animations were shot using free software on a smartphone using a simple light setup and cardboard box rig. People of all ages engaged with the filmmaking process as they created beautiful and emotional pieces using objects found in nature and exploring the question "what does Mallacoota mean to you?"

The Success of the weekend was attributed to the dedication and hard work of Mary O'Malley and all the Wilderness Workspace team.
